Atari's CEO was paid big bucks to leave the company

With all the money he received, Bonnell doesn't have to be afraid of being left alone in the dark

Being a CEO is always a good thing, even if you're not good at doing your job. Want to know why? Well, just ask Bruno Bonnell who used to be CEO of Atari and received 3 million Euros ($4.76 million) from Infogrames to leave the company eventhough nobody at Atari was aware of that.

According to an annual report by Atari, they indicate that they were not asked about this resignation agreement between Infogrames and Bonnell. "Neither our Board of Directors nor any member of our management was consulted about the agreement between IESA and Mr. Bonnell and our management was not provided with a copy of the agreement until more than two months after it was signed," reads the annual report

So Bruno Bonnell managed to almost run Atari into the ground and got 3 million euros from Atari's parent company to stop what he was doing. Life can be great for some people, can't it?
