Details Guitar Hero: World Tour
The fight for your living room between Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Konami continues. With number four (sidesteps not counted), Activision brings guitars, drums and a microphone.
There is more besides some new instruments. For instance, the guitar will work differently, be bigger and have a touch strip allowing better finger tapping and the ability to add extra distortion effects. It will also be possible to use previous game guitars. The drums will be more advanced than those of Rock Band, with three pads and two cymbals.
The tracks will all be original, so no more covers. About 85 songs will be available, among others 'Rebel Yell' by Billy Idol, 'Everlong' by the Foo fighters and 'Santeria' by Sublime. In addition songs by Linkin Park, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol and Muse have been announced.
Guitar Hero: World Tour is expected this fall for Xbox360, PS3, PS2 and Wii.
