Frontlines devs show update roadmap

Kaos Studios and THQ seem determined to keep their semi-futuristic shooter Frontlines alive and kicking after a bit of a rushed launch on PC and Xbox360.

And what's better to show that they're really serious about it than a patch roadmap? There is a list of planned additions/improvements for both the PC version and the Xbox360 version available online. As you can see there is also DLC planned (maps, weapons and vehicles), although it doesn't seem sure that it's completely free for the Xbox360 version (all the DLC for the PC is though).

Here is an overview of the new stuff you can expect:

PC:

Free Downloadable Content

New Map – Hindsight
New Map – Sunder
New Map – Wide-Awake
New Map – Infiltration
New Air Vehicles (for both Western Coalition and Red Star)
New Weapon – Anti-Air Rocket Launcher

Xbox360:

DLC 1 (free)

New Map – Boneyard
New Vehicle – Rocket-Mounted Light Armored Vehicles
New Vehicle – Red Star Transport Heli
New Weapon – Automatic Shotgun

DLC 2 (free)

New Game Mode – Conquer (includes all original maps as well as DLC maps in Conquer mode)

DLC 3 (map pack)

New Map – Hindsight
New Map – Sunder
New Map – Wide-Awake
New Map – Infiltration
New Air Vehicles (for both Western Coalition and Red Star)
New Weapon – Anti-Air Rocket Launcher
If the developers can keep these promises (everything is subject to change of course) then Frontlines might have a bright future ahead.

Adding new content to FFoW is like adding new teams to the XFL.
